On Saturday, 15 March 2025, the John W Sellers Chapter of TOS will gather at Bledsoe Creek State Park for some birding around the park, then we might head west to various hotspots around Old Hickory Lake.
Our route will likely include some of the following: Bledsoe Creek, Drakes Creek, Sanders Ferry Park, Cages Bend, Station Camp Creek, Lock 4, Tyree Access, Laguardo, Davis Corner, Cedar Creek and Shute’s Branch.
Meet at the Bledsoe Creek State Park Visitors Center parking lot at 8:00 AM. They have an observation deck with good views of the tailwaters of Bledsoe Creek & Old Hickory Lake. There are also numerous trails throughout the park, some of them paved, so wear your hiking boots or walking shoes.

As always, bring binoculars, a scope if you have one, something to drink, and snacks if you wish. It’s going to be fun!
Anyone and everyone interested in birding is welcome to participate in this field trip. You do not have to be a member of the Lebanon Birding Club or any other organization to participate in any of our outings.
