On Saturday, 15 September 2018 the Lebanon Birding Club will do some early morning birding followed by a brief meeting then a presentation by Chris Sloan featuring the birds and wildlife of Uganda.
At 7:30 a.m. we will meet in the parking lot in front of the Nature Center at Cedars of Lebanon State Park, consolidate into as few vehicles as possible, and head out in search of early migrants and anything else with wings. Bring binoculars, something to drink, and dress for the weather. We probably will not be doing much walking but I wouldn’t wear my Sunday shoes either.
At 10:00 a.m. we will migrate toward WPA cabin 13 at Cedars of Lebanon State Park for a brief meeting, and I do mean brief, followed by a program by local attorney, author, birder extraordinaire, and part-time laptop computer repairman Chris Sloan. Chris and several other birding enthusiasts took a trip to Uganda this past January, and lo the sights they saw. You do not want to miss this.
Finally, if you will bring your lunch, we’ll hang around the cabin, eat lunch and talk about birds and birding.
As always, you do not have to be a member of our association to attend our meetings or our field trips. Everyone is welcome. We hope to see you Saturday, September 15 at 7:30 and/or 10:00 a.m. at Cedars of Lebanon State Park.
