The John W Sellars – Lebanon Chapter of TOS does not meet in July, but we have a field trip to the Duck River Unit near New Johnsonville in West Tennessee on Saturday, 22 July 2017.
This is an all day event and bathrooms are not readily available. You will need to bring lunch, drinks and any snacks you may want. It takes at least 2 hours to get there from Murfreesboro or Lebanon so plan accordingly. We will meet at 7:30 AM in the parking lot in front of Dollar General in New Johnsonville. The address is: 568 Broadway Avenue, New Johnsonville, TN 37134

Various sandpipers & plovers, Caspian & Black Terns, American White Pelicans, various herons (great blue, little blue & green) & egrets (great, snowy & cattle) are all possible. Stephen suggests making yourself familiar with Black Terns in non-breeding plumage, and brushing up on waders and shorebirds.
If you plan to join us for the trip, please complete the form below. Knowing how many to expect will allow us to better plan the trip. The information you provide in the form is seen only by us and will not be shared with any other organization. Include your name, email address, how many birders you expect in your party, whether you are willing to drive or prefer to ride, and if possible include a cell phone number so that we can communicate if necessary during the trip or in the event of inclement weather.
