The next meeting of the John W. Sellars Chapter of the Tennessee Ornithological Society will be Saturday, 20 February 2016 at 10:30 AM in the Dixon Merritt Nature Center [Google Map] in Cedars of Lebanon State Park. We will be watching Danny Shelton’s film A Century of Birds: The Tennessee Ornithological Society.
But, before the meeting, we will take a stroll around Couchville Lake at Long Hunter State Park, located at 2910 Hobson Pike, Nashville, TN 37076. Meet at 7:30 AM by the kiosk in Area 2 beside Couchville Lake. [ Google Map ]. Bring your binoculars and dress appropriately. We will wrap up the bird walk by 9:3o in time to travel to Cedars of Lebanon State Park for our meeting, film and chat session. Please join us if you can make it.
Anyone and everyone interested in birding is welcome to attend the field trip and/or meeting. You do not have to be a member to attend this meeting or any of our field trips. Bring a sack lunch for after the meeting, and find out what everyone is seeing at their favorite birding spots.
