Field Trip to Bledsoe Creek SP – 17 September 2016 – BUT NO MEETING

In lieu of a meeting, on Saturday, 17 September 2016 the Lebanon Birding Club will venture to Bledsoe Creek State Park in Sumner County near Gallatin for a some early morning, late summer birding. Afterward, we will head to Gallatin for lunch and to talk birds.

Stephen Zipperer will lead a field trip to Bledsoe Creek State Park located at 400 Zieglers Fort Road, Gallatin, TN 37066. Anyone and everyone interested in birding is welcome to join us on our field trip.

We will meet at the Visitors Center in the Park at 7:00 AM. They have an observation deck with good views of the tailwaters of Beldsoe Creek & Old Hickory Lake. There are also numerous trails throughout this small park, some of them paved, where you’ll find warblers and lots of other song birds and wildlife.

LBC Breakfast / Meeting – Saturday, 20 August 2016

How about Breakfast with the Bird Club?

The Lebanon Birding Club will meet for breakfast at Cedars of Lebanon State Park on Saturday, 20 August 2016 before the first Chapter meeting of the 2016-17 season. We will eat 9:00 AM so plan to get there around 8:30. We will be serving sausage biscuits, country ham biscuits, donuts, coffee and juice. So we need to know if you plan on coming. More on that a few paragraphs down.

After breakfast we will have our meeting at 10:00 AM, thirty minutes earlier than usual.

That’s right, the next meeting of the John W. Sellars Chapter of the Tennessee Ornithological Society will be Saturday, 20 August 2016 at 10:00 AM at cabin #13 in Cedars of Lebanon State Park. This is our annual planning / organizational meeting, and because we have a busy fun-filled year ahead of us, your participation and input is more important than ever. We will plan and begin organizing field trips, chapter events, programs and meetings for the remainder of 2016 and the first half of 2017.

Anyone and everyone interested in birding is welcome to attend our meetings and this breakfast. You do not have to be a member to attend our meetings or any of our field trips. But if you plan to join us for breakfast on Saturday, 20 August 2016 at 9:00 AM, then please let us know via email, or by completing the form below. Tell us who you are and how many people will be eating with us. We must know how many are coming in order to buy the fixin’s.
