The John W. Sellars – Lebanon Chapter of TOS will be birding on Saturday, 20 April 2024 in and around Cedars of Lebanon State Park. We hope to see many spring migrants and more. Meet in the Nature Center parking lot no later than 8:00 AM to join in on the early morning birding action.
Bring binoculars, and a scope if you have one. And if you bring your lunch, we’ll find an empty shelter or shady spot after we bird and make plans for some summer birding field trips. Be thinking of some places you’d like to bird here in middle Tennessee.
The plan is to bird until 11:00 AM or so, then grab a bite to eat.
Everyone is welcome. You do not have to be a member to participate in the birding or lunch (but you must bring your own lunch).
We look forward to seeing you Saturday morning, 20 April 2024, for some fun birding in the park. Join us if you can, and bring a friend.

Our route will include some of the following: Bledsoe Creek, Drakes Creek, Sanders Ferry Park, Cages Bend, Station Camp Creek, and Lock 4. If there’s time, we might also visit Tyree Access, Laguardo, and Davis Corner in northern Wilson County on our way back home. And for you hardcore birders, there’s always Cedar Creek and Shute’s Branch.
Anyone and everyone interested in birding is welcome to participate in this field trip. You do not have to be a member of the Lebanon Birding Club or any other organization to participate in any of our outings.
