LET’S GO BIRDING!!!
NO MEETING on Saturday, 21 November 2020
This Saturday, 21 November 2020, the Lebanon Birding Club – John W. Sellars Chapter of TOS will meet at the Walmart in Manchester then travel to Woods Reservoir for some fun birding around the lake.
When: Saturday, November 21, 2020
Where: Woods Reservoir near Manchester TN in Franklin Co.
Time: 8:00 AM
Meet: Walmart Supercenter, 2518 Hillsboro Blvd., Manchester, TN
Directions: Take I-24 towards Chattanooga to Exit 114, this is the Hwy 41 Manchester Exit. Turn left on Hillsboro Blvd at top of ramp. Go approximately .4 miles. Walmart Super Center is on your right. We will meet in the parking lot as far from the Walmart as possible. Once we all have arrived, we will make the 20-minute drive to Woods Reservoir.
Birds expected: Common Loons, Horned Grebes, various species of ducks, Bald Eagles, and various wintering land birds. Woods is a great place to find Red-throated loons, and eared Grebe. Hopefully we can find some Golden-eyed Ducks. In the afternoon we hope to find Horned Lark, Water Pipit, Ducks, Loggerhead Shrike and others.
It should be a fun day of birding. Be sure to bring your masks and we will social distance as much as possible. All participants are expected to observe social distancing guidelines and practice safe birding at all times. No exceptions! You will be expected to provide your own transportation for this birding foray.
