Spring Field Trip w/ NTOS – Saturday, 12 May 2018

Join the Lebanon Birding Club (John W Sellars Chapter of TOS) for some spring birding fun with members of  our sister organization, Nashville TOS, on Saturday, 12 May 2018.

We will meet at the Discovery Center in Murfreesboro at 7:30 AM. Stephen Zipperer will lead the group through the Murfree Springs Wetlands in search of warblers and other songbirds. After a 1 mile trek through the wetlands we will load up and travel to see Scissor-tailed Flycatcher and Loggerhead Shrike in eastern Rutherford County. Then we will head to Wilson County in search of Grasshopper Sparrow and Lark Sparrow. Binoculars should suffice, but if you have a scope you might bring it. Also a camera wouldn’t be a bad idea. We could get some good shots of the flycatchers and/or shrikes.

If you plan on joining us on the 12th please complete the online sign-up form here:

https://lebanonbirding.org/field-trips/sign-up-spring-birding-field-trip-w-ntos-12-may-2018/

I realize it’s a pain to fill out these forms, but it helps us to better plan these trips and provides us with information useful for planning future trips. It only takes a minute and we will never share your information with anybody or any other organization.

We hope to see you on Saturday, May 12.
