• 20 June 2026 Saturday – Cedar Creek Greenway – 7:30 AM – 8:30AM/9:00 AM. Leader: Jeff Steele. Walk will be approximately 2.2 miles out and back. Jeff will also be conducting a Historical Ed/Bird walk (South Trailhead of Cedar Creek Greenway). Easy paved trail, ADA friendly. No restrooms on side. Fuel/Market nearby has restroom, snacks, and drinks. Everyone is welcome but also invited is the Cedar Creek Greenway Restoration Project volunteers. • 20 June 2026 Saturday – Nightjar and Evening Garden Tour (sunset is at 8:01 pm). Leader: Melissa Turrentine. Time: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM. Meet at 6 pm for the Native Garden Tour (meets in front of the Nature Center at Cedars of Lebanon State Park, the garden in behind the nature center). Address is: 856 Cedar Forest Road, Lebanon, TN 37090. 36.084925. -86.324914. This is followed by the Nightjar search which is at the intersection of Cedar Forest Road and Richmond Shop Road. This area is a restricted access portion. We should carpool as the parking lot before this area is very limited. There is a locked gate hence leaving cars parked in a paved parking lot (near the nature center is preferred). Coordinates for the nightjar event are: 35.093075, -86.371514. Bring bug spray, lawn chair is optional, flashlight or red light is preferred. Bring water, snacks and your own trash bag. Nothing breakable, no glass please. We will stay past twilight and then go back to cars.
